The associated Legendre Polynomials
Definition:
\[ P_l^{(m)} (x) = \frac{(-1)^m}{2^l l!} (1-x^2)^{m/2}
\frac{\textrm{d}^{l+m}}{\textrm{d}x^{l+m}} (x^2 - 1)^l \]
- Choose the argument for representation from the menu.
- Then you can choose l and m.
- Use button "Plot" to plot the choosen polynomial.
- The program optimizes the display range for the last plotted polynomial
to give a good representation of it.
- One can replot a polynomial to rescale the display for it.
- "Clear Plot Area" will delete all plotted polynomials.
