Orthogonality of Legendre Polynomials
Definition:
\(\int\limits_{-1}^{1} P_n(x) P_m(x) = \frac{2}{2n+1} \delta_{nm} \)
with \(\delta_{nm} = 1 \) if \(n = m\)
and \(\delta_{nm} = 0 \) if \(n \neq m\)
- Choose two Legendre Polynomials from the menus.
- Use the button "Plot Polynomials and Integration" to plot the polynomials,
their product und the integral (as area).
- For a better overview only the two choosen polynomials are plotted.
- "Clear Plot Area" will erase all plotted polynomials.
